At Humble Design Chicago, we welcome people home, so lives are changed for good.

We serve families and veterans emerging from homelessness by transforming their empty houses into warm, welcoming homes. Using donated furniture and home goods, our team of staff and volunteers fully furnish each home based on our clients’ individual needs and preferences.

Our unique model creates a lasting impact in people’s lives. The results speak for themselves. Research shows individuals housed in empty, unfurnished units can see return rates to homelessness as high as 25-50%. With Humble Design Chicago’s services, more than 96% of clients remain housed a year later.
